EXOTIC SHORTHAIR STANDARD BREED

EWOK(diluted calico)

Exotic Shorthairs are wonderful shorthaired versions of the Persian. They have the flat faces of the Persian but a short plush teddy-bear look, and the usual small squeaky Persian voices. Very responsive to humans and human emotions, this breed has inherited their very tame personality and gentle ways from their Persian ancestry. However, twenty years ago, several shorthaired breeds were used as outcrosses to bring in the short coated gene, and as a result, Exotics are generally livelier and more inquisitive than Persians.

Showing the Exotic Shorthair has been called a "Persian wet tee-shirt contest." It is like showing a Persian in its underwear or sopping wet. The Exotic must meet the Persian standard with regard to nose, eye, ear, chin, and build. There is no long coat to be trimmed to hide ears that are too large, or set too high on the head. No massive ruff to hide a neck that is too long. No flowing coat to disguise those cats standing too tall or cowhocked. There are no great chops to be shaped to embellish a head that is too small or not round enough.

EWOK'S HOME

The long wait is over!

as we dubbed her temporarily, as to we are still waiting for her CFA documents to arrive.

BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT

I never knew my friends are over-the-top competitive.

My friends planned a supposedly “basaan” night which turned out to be very wet, wild and dirty!

Dik and I planned a game which involved a series of activities. We made sure they’re going to regret even wishing to be dirty. HAHA.

Just as planned, they arrived, all wearing black or supposedly “patapon” shirts. We had to wait (A LONG TIME) for the late comers- Sabs, Mau (as expected) and Sam Viray. Then we began the game.

I had to explain it. I never expected explaining rules to college students to be very difficult. They were raising their hands like kindergarten students and were asking the funniest questions.

Nik: “Kailangan niyo punuin yung tabo with water.”

Someone AKA Val: “Gaano kapuno?”

Everyone: “UMMM?”

With everything all set and everyone paired up, they proceeded with the game. Here are some snapshots. Hope these pictures would help you imagine how my friends are. And how the night went on! And also, please read the rules and mind the cheaters.

Blow the balloon! - They were supposed to get from one point to another by blowing a balloon and releasing it.

Shoot the calamansi using a spoon in the mouth. – No shots. Thanks photographer!

Pass the cheesering!- They were supposed to get the cheesering without holding the plate and without holding the straw. CHEATERS kaya natalo eh.

Get the apples and tie them on the string hung in the garage.

Eat tomato! – Finish one tomato each.

Fill a tabo of water using your clothes or whatever part of your body!- Obviously, they took the rule seriously. No photos of the competitive ones. You know what I mean.
