Blinded by light series #1

Yesterday, (Sept 25) Nik and I did our full set up strobist!

Gears we used:
5dmk2
500d
18-55
24-70 L
135 L
2 lumopro 160
1 580EXII
Pockwewizards
Stands
and a lot of lightmodifiers.

Also all of the processing here are done in lightroom3. I must say lightroom3 is more userfriendly and not as time consuming compared to photoshop. But of course, photoshop5 is still better in single picture editing.

Heres the selected few images. I will try to remember the strobist info.

Title not needed.

Thats all folks!
Nik and I are continuously learning and trying to improve our photography. bear with us!

1,6,7,11 are my top picks here.
1 - this was a test shot. but i like the candidness of the shot.
6 and 7 love the framing. thank you nik for making this frame.
1 - my last shot for the entire session and i went and break some rules to capture a lot of lines from a different perspective.

  4. My personal el pavoritos
    1. Like the framing and the fore and back lighting.

    7. This is "THE" picture for me. The thing that i really liked in this particular shot is that the modeling captured what the set was all about. The set portrayed the melancholic atmosphere of living in the city. The direction is so clear that any writer can start a story about the struggles of boredom of a girl living in Makati, NY or Tokyo. the post processing also played a big role on this one, turning it to monochromatic to captivate the mood was the perfect touch to it. It also did well on the technical point of view because the light blending of whites and greys turned up well on the background.
