  1. I've noticed that you guys have been using a lot thicker aperture now. Nice set pang nat geo ang dating. My el paborito would be #2. Is this post processed? I understand that you used a softbox but how did you work it to have the spotlight effect?

  2. Yup, in macro We have to use bigger aperture. at 1/1 magnification, we wont be able to get the desired depth of field.

    Yup, post-processed by me, did a bit of smart sharpening, dodging and burning, and the vignette effect. i guess i went a bit overboard on that.

    Galing na ni nik magmacro. hindi na ako makalaban.

    PS:see the eyes of the spider. wonderful catchlight. thanks to the softbox.

  3. wow, actually i was kinda surprised it was post processed. Mukhang sobrang technial nga ng macro. Looking at the data parang napakalaking challenge lalo na on lighting kasi you had to take ISO 800 even with flash on.
    Oo ganda ng details on eyesesses (dami kasing mata)

  4. yup, kasi pag off-camera-flash, Manual lighting ka. nakalimutan ko na setting nung ilaw namen. malamang 1/8 ata. iniba namen pwesto nung ilaw. e madilim. so imbis na palitan namen ung setting nung ilaw. sabi ni nik. ISO na lang papalitan ko, para mas mabilis. ayun. maganda naman ang kuha nya.

    mahirap macro, kailangan mo ng ilaw. kasi aperture mo f/11 pataas.
