UP AND DROP

Nowadays everywhere you look you'd see someone holding or lugging an SLR.

So how do you begin to take good photos? It's the photographer that takes great photos, not the camera. True. I've seen some people take great photos with a simple point-and-shoot camera, while some take lousy shots with the most expensive SLR.

Just because you're carrying an SLR. It doesn't make you a better photographer. Let me contradict myself for a minute here. Your equipment limits you from creating your shot. One might argue, give me one lens. I'll make a better picture than yours. Sure. Lets say you have your "one lens" now, we shoot macro. Can you beat a macro lens, shooting a single drop of water? No.

A few tips thats really helpful for improving your shooting skills

1) RYM (read your manual)
2) Understand the fundamentals (Shutter, Aperture and ISO)
3) Learn the rules (so you'd know what to break)
4) SHOOT!

Nik fancy Macro photography. She took the photo above when we were in UP.

I really admire her shots. SHHH! Don't tell her.

We're always competing with one another. We even have our Photo Challenges. To better ourselves in taking photos. Its currently on hold. We've been busy doing other projects and stuffs. One things for sure. We're going to challenge ourselves again and settle the score. For the record, its 1-1.
